The Table below contains a list of Army personnel who committed violent crimes against ordinary citizens of Zimbabwe simply because they supported another party not associated with Zanu-PF.
The list is not exhaustive, but contains the prominent perpetrators of violence over the period of the 2008 elections and immediately after. Instead of finding and prosecuting murderers and thugs, the police and, we believe, the secret service Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), are trying to find and prosecute the people who are keeping records of the perpetrators.
ZDN hopes that publishing the names of these criminals – all of whom are serving army personnel – will discourage the perpetrators from further crimes, and encourage action from their superior officers. We hope also that it shames our Attorney General Tomana.
It is normal under Zimbabwe’s discredited Attorney General for police dockets to vanish. This is why witnesses to politically motivated murder, arson and assaults, have drawn up such a list which names the perpetrators directly. In a normal society, these leads would be followed up, not only by the national army Commander, but by the police.
Tomana’s job as Attorney-General is to supervise all criminal prosecutions in Zimbabwe. But he never follows up on direct information that might incriminate members of ZanuPF.
A legal human rights organisation says this list is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’.
Please send this list to anyone who can influence the situation inside the country. All of the victims are Zimbabwe civilians, guilty of absolutely nothing more than believing in democracy and freedom, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
A number of pictures are available HERE Please be warned that they contain graphic images of the wounds sustained by these innocent civilians.

In-depth reporting of this information can be seen at the SOKWANELE site. Please visit them and support them in their quest for democracy and freedom inside Zimbabwe.
