Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has picked a longtime Senior Advisor, a former chief executive officer of a leading insurance company, and officials from the Movement for Democratic Change and the Civic society to run his office and economic initiatives, putting heft into roles likely to dominate the unity government’s policy.

Longtime Senior Advisor Ian Makone, will be the Secretary to the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Makone, the MDC Director of Elections, had already started on his role before the official announcement yesterday.

Chief campaign strategist and Media Adviser in the March 2008 Election, Andrew Chadwick, has been appointed Communications Director.

Former First Mutual Ltd (FML) chief executive officer Norman Sachikonye was picked to be Principal Director for Finance and Administration. The business leader will be the point man for Tsvangirai ‘s administration team. All these people are NOT in charge of anything outside MT’s office. They are all liason officers decorated with fancy titles.

The Perm Secs for all these areas are in charge of these portifolios. How stupid! Another expansion of the gravy train.

No appointee from Matebeleland, does Tsvangirai mean that in Matebele there aare no people who are qualified, he only needs votes from the Matebele people. What does this show? Nepotism in MDC like in Zanu PF

I want people to know that you can be a supporter of a party but without leadership qualities. Not all people can be leaders. Many are called but few are chosen. What we want is a complete recovery of our economy not to be leaders. That is the only problem with uneducated people, they want to be leaders because they think its easy.Lets first work towards reviving our economy and then we talk about that later.you understand this u ndebeles?.You are not the only group of people who are complaining because they wanted to be leaders ,even in Mwenezi people are there who wanted to be leaders like u.So if u all want to be leaders there will be confusion in ZIMBABWE.
