This article is a response to the current situation inside Zimbabwe. It seems that Propaganda is the oxygen that the Anti-Democratic forces thrive on. They have a monopoly of the media inside Zimbabwe. They have control of those who try and report objectively on the situation inside the country. Yet these same people insist that they are entitled to spread their poisonous propaganda around the Internet. We will not play their game.

It is all too easy to inflame prejudices. We could reproduce inflammatory statements from Zanu-PF and MDC, but these would not serve in resolving this Toxic conflict. Yes, our readers will be entertained, but I ask you as persons involved in this crisis, would it advance the resolution of the conflict in Zimbabwe. NO….It will not.

Zimbabwe Metro will no longer post articles from those spokespersons of Zanu-PF (or MDC) who are intent on removing all freedoms from the Zimbabwean people. In the pursuit of Democracy and free speech, this site has done it’s utmost to provide a balanced reportage of the news and happenings inside the country and this will continue.

The withdrawal of the MDC from engaging Zanu-PF inside Government will almost certainly develop into a serious and dangerous situation. This site will not encourage the polarisation of Zimbabwe exiles in the Diaspora. Following the MDC decision, I have to inform you that all utterances from the regime will be “Sanitized”. They will be stripped of all hate speech and lies. We will still provide updated and truthful reports of the statements and events as they occur, but they will now be factual.
