It will take time to actually get back to the civilised, lawful nation that we once were before the white European invaded our space. I totally agree with you when you say each and every one of us has a part to play in making that happen. However with the good examples you have given, people, ordinary people were united in their fight against the evil. They were prepared to lay down their lives in fighting the ideological state apparatus and fighting for the betterment of their children n children’s lives, I don’t see a lot of that in Africa particularly in Zimbabwe. People have just lost the will to fight and I don’t for second blame them only a few gallants are willing to be tortured or killed for the freedom of others. Historically not a lot of Africans have been known to be altruistic and I don’t think that’s changed even with the supposed "evolution"
secondly there are lot of divisions in Zimbabwe "unity" is just a term that has no real meaning to most Zimbabweans let me illustrate.... before the unity gvnt Zimbabwe had the highest inflation in the world when (MDC) Biti took over the economy stabilized, inflation was brought under control, Biti did that in space of three months, prior to that hack of an achievement it had taken Gono approx 10 yrs to severely cripple Zimbabwe’s economy. (I applaud Biti for such good work) about two months ago Biti won a finance award some people who like to indentify themselves as true patriotic Zimbabweans still criticized and actually had the audacity to come here and claim that he was undeserving of that award. To me a job well-done deserves a clap that’s jus a rarity among a lot of Zimbabweans. ma zimbo don’t like seeing each other achieve..... Another example is the one above this post.. there are "people" out there who think good looking people are better rulers, maybe that hypothesis is true considering for the past 30 odd yrs we been ruled by a creature give me light, maybe a certain Morgan could do miracles after all he’s proved to be more human than the creature that claims to be president (though I still wonder what makes him so delusional) there u see that its not only matabili that’s too stubborn to let Zimbabwe evolve and move forward into the 21st century but he’s got staunch supporters that even when evidence is flying in their face that a less educated person is more skilled to do a job they still cant accept it.

That moment for Zimbabwe I think is when a certain chubby cheeked fella is replaced by a more principled individual who actually knows which direction he wants to go and starts coming up with African solutions and stop getting solutions from abroad which do not work and reconnects with the Zimbabwean people who have the real power to bring about change.Chuckle!!!!!!!!!
