ZANU PF ’s central committee and Politburo resolved that the key ministries of Finance,Home Affairs and Defence are non negotiable, a development that could delay announcement of a new cabinet today and complicate the power sharing deal that was signed amind pop and fanfare.

“We cannot cede control of Finance and Home Affairs to the MDC or any other party whatsoever, that would be tantamount to power transfer”, said a ZANU PF Central committee member last night, he also dismissed a ‘cabinet list’ circulating on the internet.

Earlier Mugabe said the deal with the MDC is humiliating,”If only we had not blundered in the March … elections we wouldn’t be facing this humiliation,” Mugabe said. “This is what we have to deal with.”

MDC sources say tension is brewing and Mugabe ’s sincerity is in question after he chose to attend meeting of his ZANU-PF party instead of meeting the new prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai.

Earlier, one of the negotiators said the constitutional changes needed to enact the deal would not be passed for several weeks.

“These amendments would be tabled before parliament when it opens next month,” said Patrick Chinamasa, former justice minister, in The Herald, a state newspaper. Parliament has been adjourned to Oct 14 however the speaker has the power to call parliament before the date.

The power sharing agreement signed on Monday is silent on the allocation of ministries in the all inclusive government.

  1. Scar face school of thought, Might is right. I am amazed at the lack of concern for the average Zimbabwean, Perhaps he has no parents, or relatives to wrry about in zimbabwe. For a moment scarface, step out of your loft ideas and think survival for a Zimbabwean with modest means, Children, families who do not have relatives abrad, such as scarface, to send them pounds or Us dollars. Think of 80 percent who make up the general electorate, Living on one meal a day if they are lucky, where power cuts and water shortages are not as much an issue as basic survival, whose children last went to school last year and who are the hurt the most and lose the most where there is violence and anarchy. Once upon a time, people got into politics to change and impact such lives. What ideals besides self agrandissement drive today’s politicians? Once upon a time, People were prepared to shed blood to protect the dignity and rights of such people. Now we attack them and push each other out of the way to get position, and control. It doesnt matter if the grassroot suffers, They must tow the line so that we can drive mercedes SKL and maintain a high maintainance lifestyle, at the expense of basic sanitation, food and medicine. In whose interest are we acting but our own? Sjuold we be representeentives of the poor then?

Kusaina mapaper musina kuverenga kani-todini kani namukoma morgan? tayedza zvose zvose toto zama mavamba project vakomana. Mdc does not give a **** about us.They also just want positions in gvt. Thats why morgan was quick to sign as soon as he realised he had exc powers.Nothing else mattered from then on.you mdc supporters indava kungotevera nevakanange mudondo? mdc is not the only opposition in zimbabwe. We are capable of starting our own opposition parties now that we have learnt from the mistakes of the past.indava kungo swero pembera na morgan yet all the time he lets you down? You told him not to sign but he signed- now we are stuck and you still want to blame mugabe-mbudzi dzevanhu. Its morgan who is stupid after promising you that he would never sign a bad deal.

We will of course settle this sooner rather than later but i hope your primeminister has what it takes to run the country. he has demonstrated his incompetence by overlooking this important issue before signing…so what was he signing? The amazing thing is that mdc will spin this and blame mugabe and yet this issue should have been settled well before the signing of the deal.why did they not sign the deal. They lokk stupid now -even the british can not put their faith in these fools. This is the reason they want morgan in power so they can make him sign documents that he doesnt understand. All the land will be given back on a platter—-like mugabe said by a ball point pen.

lets keep the unity and prove people wrong-but your leader is something else.I hope my party give morgan the ministries he wants so we can get on with our lives. I hope it will make the mdc supporters happy.next time sign what you know not what you think you know. sign for what is on paper and not what has been discussed if it has been discussed at all.Why do you expect Zanu pf to just hand over those ministries without a fight? What where they debating all that time in South Africa? Surely they should have looked at the ministries too-esp mdc side.Mugabe did not have to raise that issue -the honous was on the mdc.Now you foolishness is causing us delay.dzidzo ishasha zvedi. The kind of leaders we want in zimbabwe should be able to spot these simple errors during negotiations. If they can not deal with these simple but crucial issues then how will they do the b**** negotiations when in power?

Nyika ndeyeropa so lets not tengesa nema signature.we almost got outfoxed on the land issue but managed to turn the tables and reclaimed our land in 2000 violently. never again .

One is the winner of the march election hands down-and he says the glass is half empty

one is the winner of the june election hands down- and says the glass is half full.

one is now the president of zimbabwe

one is now the prime minister of zimbabwe

one is a war hero and liberator- school teacher

one has experience in the mines and trade unions

one has 7 degrees and bags of charisma

one has no o levels and lacks charisma but has some kinda charm of his own

one thing they have in common is they are both shona-and black or are they? wolf in sheep’s clothing?

ladies and gents these are the guys who will turn around our economy with or without sanctions. They have to make it happen one way or the other. They have to think of zimbabweans first .They need the supporters of both parties to support this initiative. Without the backing of the people the deal will fail. For the deal to work the people must accept it and then get down to work. There is no chance for half measures. We need to go full steam ahead .

Do not listen to doom and gloom merchants. They do not want the African dream to succeed. Their agenda has always been to see the back of Mugabe even it this meant blood. They have failed. Zimbabwe has chosen peace and not war. Zimbabwe is now united as one .we have put our differences aside and thay do not like it one bit.Lets make them fail in their efforts to divide us. Lets turn for help to those who can no matter how little it is. Lets begin by leading by example as proud zimbabweans. Lets invest in our country-lets do what we can while we can.Let SADCC do their bit and then the AU etc. We can then try to look east for more investment and Russians are also looking for some credibility on the world stage- i think if we put pressure there we might squeeze some investments and funding. The chinese will invest and so will the South Africans.

All we need now is to agree on these ministries and they will be on their way. Lets not now be greedy unless we have hidden agendas. Lets share the work load between the parties. We dont care who runs what as long as we get results because people come first before political parties/ leaders.I do not mean putting our country at risk-no no no.Foreign affairs should remain Zanu pf – finance can go to morgan for obvious reasons-Police to morgan because he wants security -army is zanu pf-justice to zanu pf-etc.

Guys we are now fed up of the status quo. Some want it to remain but i miss my zimbabwe life-filled with sunshine and music in the shops- going to the drive inn and eskimo hut if it still exists.Ugly morgan is tired of politics.I want us zimbabweans to stop hating MUgabe and morgan and give then a cuddle and say come on guys you can do it. These guys had to make difficult decisions. But they still did it and for that we are thankful. There are no winners and losers. There is only progress but we need to ****er pressure to sustain the spirirt.

Stop the hatred and start loving. There is nothing greater than love. Thats why mbeki has come out on top. even tutu has been silenced by mbeki’s diplomacy.Quiet loving diplomacy works -if only tony blair had tried it-if only brown had given it a chance.Thank you mbeki-you have done it.In years to come people who do not understand politics will thank you .For now they are all confused and cant think clearly. The media feeds them too much stuff that they dont even know who they are anymore.

The nation needs healing…..lets give love a chance.

    your ugly morgan

I used to think that Mutambara was a brilliant guy, but after hear him talk to a BBC reporter from South Africa last night, I think he is nothing but just a political opportunist. He speaks so arrogantly and in a tone reminiscent of Zanu. He is so dismissive to almost everything he is being asked, challenging the west and outsiders to stay out of Zimbabwe’s affairs. I was supporting him all this time, but after hear him speak, I think he is an angry sore looser. I now doubt his professorship, if he is one, then he might be good for robotic science, not politics. He must now heed the call of his profession and leave politics for others. Why is he so confrontational and dismissive in his interviews? This is the second interview he has given, and all end prematurely as he rumbles through trash not allowing the reporter to ask him questions. He claims -”there is no problem in Zimbabwe, it is you western reporters who are making it up”. How can Mutambara be so blind after all this bickering from Zanu. I do not think he deserves the Vice Prime Ministers post.

  6. NI says:

Mbeki to step down… I will still respect you Mr Mbeki, though you did let us down. At least you sowed them African leaders how its done. I have doughts for shower Zuma.

  7. mugabe says:

zanu is fine all what mdc needs is patience just chill guys take some glasses of cold water dont rush us we dont like to be rushed anywhere you wont get what you need cause you are childish

  8. mugabe says:

  9. mugabe says:

if morgan can receive a document written ” HAND OVER ZIMBABWE NOW” he might definately sign it and ask later the meaning of the bleeding thing thanks god he s not the president of my beloved ZIMBABWE how can you sign and read afterwards i can now call him morgan siphukuphuku wapusa wapusa

  10. scarface says:

Mr quiet diplomacy is stepping down after pressure from the confused bunch who caused xenophobic violence to tarnish mbeki’s leadership.Well i wish them a bright future under mr corruption. We all know he did that ****. Had mugabe been accused like that the whole world would have believed it. But somehow they forgave zuma because he was not a harliner like mbeki . Mbeki is an African from the old school. Zuma and his violent followers will mess up that rainbow nation.

They have to deal with poverty -racism-land issue-aids-jobs-education and the economy.Mandela is a hero world wide but after his release from prison he did nothing for the people of South africa. He did nothing for the poor. Or did i miss it? Winning the war is one thing , its what you do when in power that counts. The objectives of the war must be fufilled otherwise it would have been pointless.Thats what Mugabe has been trying to do and we can see that it takes a lot of balls .They will hate you like a bitch for trying to empower your people. They will gang up on you.Mugabe knows that now.Zuma will have a difficult job pleasing a xenophobic mob that is expecting heaven from him.

I hope in zimbabwe things will be different by the time South Africa xplodes. I know for sure this will happen. You can not brush these problems under the carpet just like that. They need to be solved. It will need a zuma with balls of steel to do that otherwise they will chew him up and spit him out.You watch investors being all cautious and **** to put pressure on him to make decisions that favour them.

Anyway lets solve our own nministerial issues before we focus on zuma.Zuma himselve said African leaders should meet regularly to discuss problems thay think will affect the region in the future-in other words to pre empt the situations. well i tell ya- we need to talk about how south africa will solve the land issue and resettle those balcks living in squallers. They have to prevent a murambatsvina and violent uprising before its too late.

Mbeki – you are a true son of Africa. An African. We love you proper.Good luck and enjoy those holidays . Its south Africans who have lost out.One day they will come to their senses but it may be too late.
