New 20 000 dollar note printed on ordinary paper

Harare-The new 20-thousand-dollar note unveiled by Zimbabwe’s central bank in a bid to ease widespread cash shortages is printed on ordinary paper and lacks any such security features as a watermark or security thread.

The Reserve Bank raised the daily withdrawal limit in Zimbabwe, prompting tens of thousands to line up in desperate hopes of getting enough cash for groceries before spiraling inflation eats away more of the currency’s value.

New rules went into effect the day President Robert Mugabe returned from the UN allowing withdrawals of up to ZIM$20 000 ($35). The old ZIM$1 000 limit was barely enough to buy a newspaper.

The limit and the fact that Zimbabwe has the world’s highest inflation rate, officially 11-million percent, unofficially much higher, has meant long lines at banks most days.

But Monday was extraordinary. Mothers with babies strapped to their backs arrived at bank doors at dawn. Police vainly tried to stop the crowds from blocking traffic, but there appeared to be more police and uniformed soldiers in line to get cash than on duty.

On Saturday, central bank governor Gideon Gono vowed to keep printing money, a practice critics say has fueled inflation.

  1. The forgerers are going to have a party with this.

  2. hanzi Gono mubatanidzwa wemazwi maviri anoti “Go” (enda) na “No” (handidi)

  3. The private scaners and printers are going to be busy now.All that paper you were saving can now be turned into $20 000 notes.

  4. GONO its shortcut for Gonoriya sexual transmitted disease. This disease if not cured early, its fatal to one’s life. So if we just look at Gonoriay as we are doing, then its fatal to our life. How can some one print the so-called legal tender on ordinary paper????? Nigerians in Zim will get rich.

  5. This guy anonzi Gono is just using dustbin economics. He is busy printing money not anchored by production to prop up Matibili’s regime, and is suffocating the ordinary public by denying them the right to take their funds. He knows he is partly the source of the current inflation levels, and is even vowing to print more money even on tissue paper just to prop up this evil regime, thereby exercerbating the inflation level. He seems to be a zombi, just a thing without any head, because honestly where on earth would a normal Governor watch ordinary people suffering whole days in queues only to access money that covers only their transport cost to town -$20 000??Anyone with the most basic understanding of economics knows that the opportunity cost of keeping the paltry withdrawal limits far outweighs the the cost of time spent in the queues. The only problem is Gono has become a politician in a bid to please Matibili, and for all we know politicians think using their asses!!

  6. tinzwirai tsitsi weduwe. just resign NOW

  7. I think this deadlock is being caused by the Mdc having realised and checked the responses of the population on their ****ed up deal that they signed. They are now trying to save face by refusing to budge on ministries. What a shame -Morgan let everyone down by signing on the dotted line and now he is trying to redeem himself. You should fire this chap for incompetence-he has failed. You can tell from Chamisa’s comments that its all a face saving strategy. I told you aour enemies will not rest until mugabe has gone-these enemies are not MDC but only use Mdc as a front. We know the score.

I hope people see sense and help aleviate this crisis. Those in the diaspora dont mind the stalemate-but the ones on the ground in zim want a result. They are tired of all this nonsense. If its true that Zapu is reforming soon then i am sorry to say the MDC is in serious trouble. All those ndebele people will go back to their party of origin . What will happen to the Mdc then? Things do not look good. I see danger and a sad ending to this circus.I hope we all remember rwanda but if this carry on this way we are heading in the same situation. From today my family will work out their escape route-there is no need to wait any longer. If nothing happens this week we are off to mozambique for a break. This time i am dead serious. Remember scarface knows what you dont know.Dont say i didn’t warn you.

If the two parties fail to make this work we are doomed-and those who want this to fail have won. If you surf the net etc all the news sites are negative about the deal -why? No one seems ready to give it a chance no matter how little.Do they all want bloodshed? Its coming and chamisa wants it that way.Morgan signed a **** deal that is why we are deadlocked. Now he wants to redeem himself by appearing to be tough by not agreeing the allocation of ministries-he is always wrongly advised and sooner or later after all this he will still agree to a **** deal. Is that not always the case? we will see. For now i see danger and i will now start planning before its too late…i see the bad moon rising-i see trouble on the way…hope you get your things together…

  8. LETS BE HONEST-IYI INTERVENTION KU STATES YAZONYAYA-EVEN GONO NEVER PRINTED SO MUCH MONEY US $ 700 BILLION- FLOODING THE FINACIAL SERVICES ZVEDI. IF GONO TRIES IT UNDER SANCTIONS ITS BAD-US -BRITAIN DO IT ITS MAGIC-PURE ECONOMICS. YET WE FAIL TO SEE THE DISASTER BEHIND IT. THOSE BANK MANAGERS -FUND MANAGERS WHO GOT AWAY WITH HUGE BONUSES…THEIR MONEY IS SAFE BUT NOT THE ODINARY POVO.

ON THE OTHER HAND THESE SAME SO CALLED HIGH FLIERS WILL COME TO AFRICA TO ADVISE OUR BANKERS AND ECONOMISTS. WE BLINDLY TAKE ON BOARD WHATEVER THEY TELL US BECAUSE OF THE SIZE OF THE BANKS THEY RUN. AFRICA IS A DIFFERENT SCENARIO REQUIRING KNOWLEDGE OF LOCAL MARKETS ETC BEFORE YOU CAN THROW UP YOUR GARBAGE EVERWHERE. WE ARE BETTER OFF WITH GONO -OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER AS LONG AS THEY HAVE LOCAL KNOWLEDGE OF OUR SYSTEMS AND BUSINESS SECTOR ETC. THESE HIT AND RUN ADVISORS WE NO LONGER NEED THEM.

WE CANT AFFORD 700 BILLION BAIL OUT IF THEY FAIL AGAIN. WE ARE STILL PAYING FOR THEIR EASP PROGRAMS A LONG TIME AGO-INTEREST RATES RUNNING AT 40% -UNBELIEVABLE. THEY MILKED US AND TOOK OFF. NOW THAY HAVE MILKED THEIR OWN BANKS AND TOOK OFF AGAIN. PLEASE IF YOU DECIDE TP GIVE US LOANS -NO MATTER HOW MUCH JUST LET US FORMULATE OUR OWN LOCALISED POLICIES . WE DO NOT NEED YOUR BRIANS THAT ARE FILLED WITH DEBT.

NOW START PRINTING THAT 700 BILLION. WAKOMANA-THATS A LOAD OF PRINTING.KANA GONO HASVIKE IPAPO.

  9. so r u laughing at us.i think we zimbabweans should just regard all mdc supporters as not zimbabweans becoz wen u hear they critisize its lk they dont stay or have relatives in zim.gono is running an abnormal economy under sanctions,so wen they comment only they say gono is wrong without including all facts lk sanctions in thier analysis.gono given an eviornment with no sanctions can turn zim.but all his effeorts are fought from so many fronts,by zims at the black market ,corruption, negative media, and all these prophets of doom.i rember very well wen pres mugabe fired the previous governor ,he sed he wanted someone who does not follow bookish economics but some1 who responds to the situation we r in and gono has bn doing that mandate.luk at those that u admire the americans how they have manipulated the markets and caused world mayhem.these mdc r anti zimbabwe.nw can u blive that there is nothing targeted about these sanctions,zm is under real sanctions.do u think he wants this paper dnt u kno that he knoz about security features.these mdc think if they r given the economy they will just go to their books and fix the economy.get real.wat is the governor of zambia or lesotho ,angola, rwanda doing that gono does not kno, these r countries not under sanctions lk us.given a gud environment gono can even outperform even the sa governor whose only tool is inflation targeting nothing else.so please live us alone we r trying 2 build wat u hav bn advocting 2 b broken by sanctions, pamberi nava gono.

  10. Scarface be wise and open your eyes.Don’t believe everything Matibili says. The US is not printing money the Gono way and the US economy hasn’t collapsed the Zim way. There is no cash crisis in the US,no bank queues. The US is trying to avert an economic disaster through their Congress whilst Gono is a one man solution finder.Noone is consulted and tomorrow we are going to wake up with $100000 bill.COMMON SENSE IS NOT SO COMMON IN OUR EDUCATED ZANU PF LEADERS,ma PHD ma DEGREE and noone can advise Mugabe that he needs to look East West North and South.Diploma raTsvangirayi ririnani.

  11. After scanning and printing the new 20 000 dollar note, It is impossible to tell the difference.Who needs to queue in a bank.

  12. Scarface, the diffence between Zim billions and US billions is that the US billions are real money worth a lot while Zim billions are a mickey mouse currency printed on ordinary worthless paper and worth absolutely nothing. That’s why the governor now wants businesses to charge prices in foreign currency because the value of those currencies is stable unlike our own which changes value every second. Get that through your thick head.

  13. mugabe is about to plunge Zimbabwe into the depths of no return.By not agreeing to sharing power and ministeries he will be imposing further sanctions on himself and his cronies.Mbeki is no longer the president of SA who could stand by his side and hold him up.For once scarface is right and it is time for all those who can to leave Zimbabwe.Zimbabwe has become a dying dog kicking for the last time.Zimbabweans are all going to starve to death under the missrule of the most ugly baboon on earth, mugabe.

  14. http://africafirst.wordpress.com
As the struggle for Africa continues I am praying for a new generation that will inspire, embolden and eventually liberate Africa from this antiquated way of operating. Am I proud of being African yes, and i proud of Africa’s condition- No. What should we do? Its time for Africans to reclaim their lives, an entitlement that no ONE man or group of BANDITS can take away.
Africa’s future is not in America, Britain or the united nation’s hands. The very people who have been put down and treated like dirt in their own nations have the power to pull the plug without fear.
We can make Africa what we want it to be not what Mugabe and his counterparts desire. We’ve been living in their fantasies for a long time. They dream to see bullet holes on every building, potholed streets, children without food and clothing, average person living on 1 dollar a day.
For their brains to even allow their mouth’s to open and blame nations 6000miles away is something only a devout follower can understand. If America does not want to trade with Mugabe and other nations follow suit what is it to Mugabe, if the world bank refuses to give money to African leaders what wrong have they committed; that money does not belong to these dictators They are not entitled to it. This is something they are good at; when a disaster occurs in the nation their first inclination is to plead for aid in most cases utter these words,’ if we do not receive aid NOW many people will die” ok then. We do that God for the kindness these foreign nations who care more for Africa’s citizens that the men elected.
If these individuals who think they know a thing or two about ruling a nation had any understanding at all they would bring the nation to a place where it could stand alone comfortably if it found itself surrounded by hostile nations. Oh then again we are living in their idea of a stand alone nation.
At some point these African leaders had a good heart but quickly saw how easy it was to take advantage. Using tax payer dollars and stolen resources they dispatch soldiers, police, and secret agents to beat, starve and kill you and then later return for your vote. I still cannot understand how they get a single soul to their rallies bearing in mind it is these tired, beat up, smelly rally goers who stand on the side of the road seeking a ride back home, or beg for assistance when all is said and done…..what rubbish.
We have become so intimately acquainted with suffering we can not even see how simple it is to reclaim our nation and continent. So now I’m asking all the educated so called business leaders who care for Zimbabwe not to allow global representation from foolish individuals i.e. Boniface Chidyausiku the Ambassador to the United Nations for Zimbabwe; to stop this rubbish.
How long will you let these foolish men represent our nation on the global scene. Mugabe’s speech at the UN, “we found an African solution to an African problem” if this power sharing rubbish is Africa’s solution to failed politics no wonder we’ve had no solution for Africa’s problems. When these men speak their unfathomable nonsense this maybe viewed as a reflection of Africa’s make up. Without an open mind many of foreigners who hear such spe****s automatically think this is what Africa is made of.
It is ironic though that the man who brokered the power sharing deal for Zimbabwe was publicly humiliated and dismissed from his position as a failed leader. If Thabo Mbeki is a failed leader, where on the scale can we put Robert Mugabe?
On a serious ending note, if prisons are full of livestock and bread thieves there is no justifiable reason why Zimbabwe is still being ruled by people who if sentenced not one of them would serve less than 10 years for various crimes committed over their 3 decades of stupid leadership.
Africans let us stop these men and their rubbish because you have the power to do so. This continent belongs to you!

  15. ANY ONE WHO BLAMES BHOBHO COMPLETELY FOR THIS MESS IS AN IDIOT.

BHOBHO MESSED UP YES! BUT SOME PEOPLE DECIDED TO PLAY GOD AND PUNISH HIM. BUT IN ESSENCE IT IS US THEY PUNISH. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US.

BHOBHO MUST GO HE HAS WAY TOO MANY FAULTS.

BUT REMEMBER: WHERE BHOBHO IS KILLING YOU WITH GUNS AND OPRESSION, SOMEONE ELSE IS KILLING YOU WITH HUNGER AND OTHER FORMS OF OPRESSION.

AT THE END OF THE DAY ………………….YOU ARE DEAD.

ZIMBABWE WILL RISE AFRICA WILL RISE. JUST WAIT AND SEE.

  16. LET US NOT BE BITTER, THAT IS THE KEY.

LETS FIND A WAY TO WORK OUT THE SOLUTIONS WE NEED. LOVE WILL CONQURE ALL.

  17. The struggle continues-yet another day and all news is doom and gloom. When are we ever going to wake up and hear god sent news for a change? Do you not ever tire of hearing negative news.I even thought Dynamos reaching the champions league was too good to miss-but i was wrong. A team of black achievers is no good…Bring on our golden girl Kirsty coventry any day. I dont see sense in this. Most nations would be running the streets if their team had reached the champions league semi finals under such condition-no money-just desire and the will to win against the odds.Well done boys of dembare!!!! Hope you receive the bred carpet when you finish the tornament. You have certainly brought some sunshine in my life…bring on the semi finals.Hunger or no hunger we will defeat them.

Gono has one an exceptional job under very difficult circumstances. Its easy for south Africa to achieve the growth focusts and curb inflation given the povo are not benefitting from that. The day they try to share the wealth of the economy with the invaders is the day things will change..You can only ignore the poor for so long.Soon or later they will demand the gains of the revolution.Zimbabwe was in that position before up until 1997. we were the darling of the west. Amazing economy we had-but the povo were not benefitting from it. Just the private companies and investors. The infrastructure was amazing and so on. But what about the majority? Who looks after them? Well Thats why Mugabe had to upset the status quo because he is a revolutionary. He did not forget why he had gone to war.The war was about land -ownership of our resources and black power-period.

Like i said south africa has not upset the status quo yet-no one has had the courage to do it. Mandela-mbeki-My guess is Zuma will be under pressure from his youth league to make some changes-otherwise things can fall apart…Chinua achebe.Zimbabwe has gone through the worst that it can take. From now on the only way is up. We can not sink lower than this so that means i am optimistic for now about the future. Its no differnet from the current situation in the west-they are in a dire situation but as they say it cant get any worse than that unless of course they do not approve of the 7 billion dollar printing frenzy…even gone is better off. Now they want to intervene-know allow market forces to take force and things will balance out or will they? Whatever happened to capitalism.Dont always swallow what these guys tell you.Look at how they adjust to the prevailing conditions yet in Africa they like to impose their policies on us wothout really taking into account the status quo in our local markets and enviroment.

Zimbabweans -lets fight this as a unit or elese we are history.Love your mdc-zanu -mavambo-etc but for now you need to love zimbabwe first.

  18. Yes. mugabe upset the status quo and has now turned every Zimbabwean into a povo.So now Zimbabwe has black power but it has turned its people and its country into the poorest in the world. From an amazing economy to zero economy. There is not a person on this plannet who could have done a better job of screwing up the most wonderfull country in this world as mugabe has done.Well done baboon head, you have finally turned Zimbabwe into what you are,a complete and utter fcuk up.

It is now more exspensive to by a game of monopoly than is the value of the money in the monopoly game.Gono should start using monopoly money as it now has more value than the Zimbabwean currency.

  19. Baba ndakambo ku sappotai nezuro Asi nhasi muri kutaura nehasha kwete ne logic. Vhurai maziso enyu muone chokwadi. ehe bhobho ngaaende but pane vanhu vane masimba vari kuda kuti aende. Ko vari kuuraya vanhu ku dafur, Rwanda etc vanongonzi eee iwe rega kudaro.

  20. Tinoda change tinoda chokwadii

  21. this guy called baba has nothing positive to say about anything- he has been corrupted by those who gave him a nursing job that he has lost all senses. He is the type that believes blacks can not achieve anything-so he wants morgan in power so his masters can run our economy while he gets his minimum nursing wage and they loot our coffers. Its time for Africans to revise this whole issue of Aid . We are being imprisoned by this so called aid that comes with lots of strings attached.

i would rather gono prints money on toilet paper than waste millions paying these racist fools to do it for us-greedy fools.they have been printing money all these years only to be forced out by the cowboy leaders. Are those targeted sanctions? baba thinks they are because his mind is gone-lost while wiping old white ladies’s back sides.the whole world is in turmoil because economic mismanagement by those foreign leaders. Now they want to use 7 billion dollars of tax payers money–aghhhhhhhh!!!!! mahata dzevanhu-what kind of a free market is that. Imagine if gono tried it? The whole world would be up in arms.Irresponsible gvt of zimbabwe wastes tax payers money to fund regime—that will be the main headline. It seems to me if white people **** up we are supposed to accept it -if blacks do it -its a complete mess…no more aid until they get their house in order. The americans owe the chinese over 500billion -i hope they lose the vote again and this time we will see a real utter shambles. What a mess-from now on they should not point fingures at anyone be it iraqi or economics. They have failed..so called private sector relying on public funding to bail themselves out of a situation that they created in the first place.let market forces prevail and we will see how your system cops .Now they are nationalising evrything-mugabe wanted to do it to key strategic businesses but that was considered no good.mapenzi evanhu.

Mdc is dead.morgan is brain dead-can not revive our economy -not with people like chamisa…never never never. Thanks gono for running things under the most difficult .dont always follow text book economics.do what is right for zimbabwe and thats what we call localisation.

  22. Am convinced now;Scarface is a real CIO.Check his kind of compositions above.Like Nataniere Manheru George Charamba! Eeeesh.kikikikikikikikikikiki

  23. Scarface. There is nothing positive in Zimbabwe to disscuss.I would rather Gono prints mugabe’s face on toilet paper so we can all wipe our backsides with his face. That is what we all think of him.

Can you tell me what positive black power has achieved apart from the total destruction of the country.

By the way scarface, your figures are way out as the amount of tax payers money the US wants to use is 700 billion and not 7 billion.Read between the lines before you open your useless mouth you idiot.

  24. BABA

  25. This guy baba is so dumb and stupid but i will not waste my time on you-how can you say there is nothing positive to say when your leader has just signed a peace deal on your behalf. Is that not positive? Dynamos in the semi finals of the champions league under difficult conditions is that not positive? Violence has ceased in zimbabwe is that not positive? There is less crime in zim than in south Africa even in our difficult times is that not positive? Investors are lining up to invest is that not positive? Tourism has increased by 11% over the previous year is that not positive? Morgan tsvangirai is now Primeminister is that not positive?

Yes we are still in the ****s but that is largely due to people like you baba with negative attitudes and unwilling to accept change.Change yamaida has come- our boss mugabe has changed maitiro and signed a deal with morgan and mutambara so that we can live in a free and prosperous society -a hard decision provided ha has to work with puppets. But he has changed his ways to accomodate the opposition. Morgan is happy being the tea boy as usual-maybe that is why you are not happy. Isu we Zanu 4 life we are happy. The nation is now under one umbrella as a unit -lets now fight the economics.Iwe baba if you are afraid to leave your job reku pisika chembere that is your issue—isu ma progressive zimboz we are ready to make money and hit the streets of harare …nyika ndeyeropa wakomana. To all you doom mongers and mdc—-you either get down or lay down !!!!!

  26. if common sense prevails -then people like baba actually tell us -from an amazing economy to zero economy.read between the lines.17 years of amazing economy and suddenly you fail to make worthwhile economic policies? something is not right…even taking the farms into account -past experience tells you these guys were capable of handling the economy—-for the country to be in this position today is testimony to their shrewed economics under difficult conditions. Maybe the bankers in the west should come for some advise from gono and his crew.. they have already copied one of his methods -printing cash. They have picked up mugabe’s policy -nationalising key industries. When we do it its uncompetitive -but when they do it , they are geniuses. Now they are busy nationalising there banks..if we tried to nationalise our mines —oh god they cry like bitches…**** all ya.

  27. Scarface. The only positive thing that will come out of Zimbabwe will be when that useless baboon of yours dies.On that day Zimbabwe and the world will celebrate as that will be the most positive thing to ever happen in Zimbabwe.Yes , our Great leader Morgan signed a deal and that was positive but your idiot baboon does not want to hand over key ministries, that is not positive.Violence continues in Zimbabwe ,that is not positive. What 11% tourism are you on about.Tourism is down more than 80% from 10 years ago, that is not positive. No one will invest in Zimbabwe yet untill Your baboon is out, that is not positive.More people are dying from hunger in Zimbabwe than those who are killed by the highest crime rate in the world in SA.That is not positive.Morgan is still not officially the primeminister, that is not positive.Zimbabwe’s inflation rate continues to soar due to your baboon, that is not positive.Unemployment continues to grow due to your baboon, that is not positive. You continue to open your mouth and let out all the propaganda lying crap that has infested your tiny little head. That is not positive.

  28. Just because the Western world’s money is printed on special paper doesn’t make it more valuable. Bob knows that the currency of the Western world is also worthless paper and backed by nothing (accept debt). The sad thing is that the West is gonna find this out at a stage when Bob’s economy is already geared to survive without the Satanic Central Banks that give westerners a false sense of freedom. Remember it was the UK who orchestrated the collapse of Bob’s currency. Bob just stuck to what he believed in. It will take some time, but at some stage his wisdom will shine through.

  29. Why I back Bob

Sharing a taxi on my way to work I had the dubious honor of listening to TV-watchers commenting on politics. The saddest part to all of it is the mass of miss-information that the TV propagates and the way people use this information to form opinion. Sitting in the taxi through the streets of Stellenbosch was like listening to a blind person describing the beautiful scenery.

What I noticed was that everyone in the taxi was in unison that Bob Mugabe was a lunatic, with a few of the people very accurately referring to the latest news events. Well if one is up to date with what E-tv, SABC and the biggest culprit, BBC News has to say then well Bob isn’t much else than stark raving mad.

The point however, that everyone seems to be missing is that any story, and I do mean any story does have two sides. When I say this I mean even Bob must have something to say. Contrary to the manner in which the news media has portrayed old Bob, he is not only highly educated, but also highly intelligent. I mean, this man has seven academic degrees which include 2 BA’s, a BSc, an MSc, an LLB, an LLM as well as a BEd. He also studied under one of the greatest Africans of our time Nkwame Nkrumah. So ask yourself, have you ever listened to any Pro-Bob propaganda? If not, what qualifies you to judge the man?

Friday night at the pub this topic came up again. I quickly proceeded to ask people what they think Bob Mugabe’s objectives were, and what were his reasons? The only response that I could get was that he was insane, mad or a lunatic. When I asked why everyone responded this way, I was greeted with, just look at his economy. Again the point sadly missed is that before Bob started his land redistribution process he used to have a normal economy. This economy relied on all the elements that our, and most UN member countries relied on. Deviance from the constraints set by the World Bank, the IMF and the UN would inadvertently lead to the economic chaos currently suffered by Zimbabwe.

Did Bob know this would happen? Of course Bob did. The bottom line is that this was totally necessary. You see, if recent history is anything to go by, then what is happening in Zimbabwe is totally normal. What is happening, and I believe this is a point that everyone is missing is that it is white people that are mostly loosing their land. Most of the land that white people own in South Africa and Zimbabwe was gained either illegally or just taken by force. What Robert Mugabe is doing is returning land to its rightful owners. Something similar should have happened in South Africa, but unfortunately only a few elite got to benefit from the land redistribution deal.

The collapse in the Zimbabwean economy was orchestrated by the powers that be to serve as punishment for “marginalizing” white people. At the time of writing according to http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ George W Bush had killed 88,479 innocent women and children for oil that doesn’t belong to him, but it’s OK, coz he is white and its non-whites who’s being slaughtered and their land forcibly taken from them.

I am actually impressed by the way in which Robert Mugabe has refused to bow down to the pressure of the imperialists and the longer he maintains it the more people will start seeing method through the madness.

In short, white people are loosing their land and Bob’s economy was ruined within seconds. In South Africa black people were loosing their land for 48 years (even longer actually), and the first time this economy was under real serious threat was when the black people were getting there land back (the economic crisis 2001-2002).

In South Africa 99% of the country thinks Bob is crazy, in Zimbabwe 43% thinks he is doing a great job. Why do we then think we have a better idea than actual Zimbabweans as to what is good for them? The Western form of democracy is cleverly disguised to empower only white supremacists.

If you followed progress up to the ’94 elections you will notice how drastically the ANC changed its policies within a matter of 4 years to suit the envisioned Western democracy. I suspect this was the deal made with Nelson Mandela before the country was handed back to the ANC. While there is a great marketing campaign for democracy, and we are all pro-democracy, this is clearly not working, South Africans have never been this unhappy ever before, not even during Apartheid.

And finally, if you are one of those people pushing for more sanctions against Zimbabwe but not against the USA you’re a hypocrite! Having money doesn’t give anyone the right to murder. Like Bob says no one has a right to tell Zimbabwe what to do.

  30. Creationist. When that baboon head mugabe took over Zimbabwe it came with a very strong economy. Before his takeover the world bank,IMF and UN had no involvement in the country.Once he was in control and destroying the economy the world bank,IMF and UN got involved to try and help in repairing the economy but between him and his useless cronies they squandered all the funds. It is him and his cronies that are personaly responsible for the chaotic situation that the country now finds itself in today.Of all the land he has taken how many landless blacks now own land and today are producing crops. What documentation do these new owners have to show that they are the owners of a particular piece of land which they can use to give to the banks so that they can procure loans to farm.Of all the land that he has taken very little has gone to the landless blacks but most of it has gone to his loyal family and ministers. How on earth do you expect any economy to work with that system. How do you expect any company to operate to its full extent if you have to give up 51% to any local. If you believe this system will work then you are more of a fool than you think you are.

  31. So Baba, would you rather have Zim land owned by Robert Mugabe and co, or Tony Blair / Gordon Brown and co?

  32. I would rather have Zim land owned by people who have paid for it regardless of their colour or gender so long as they are proffesionals in farming and not just any tom **** or harry.Who is mugabe to claim ownership of the land.Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and co do not own the land in their countries .It belongs to the people who have purchased it and work it.

  33. please all this nonsense about white/back/green/ degrees/diploma will not help to solve problems in zim which is the best country in africa but it has been destroyed by corrupt, power hungry people right lets put all that aside and think of the way forward guys do you know why you concentrate on the window screen when driving and less concentration on the rear mirrors……lets focus on what is ahead of us history haibatsire weduwe. I am very neutral what i want is restoration of peace and order in our beloved country but why is the gvt refusing to give morgan a passport this is very humiliating
