MP who nominated Nyathi was first to celebrate Moyo’s victory

The plot has thickened in the aftermath of the victory of MDC National Chairman, Lovemore Moyo for the speaker position amid revelations by Tsholotsho North independent MP,Jonathan Moyo that Lupane MP, Njabuliso Mguni who nominated ZANU PF backed Paul Themba Nyathi was the first to celebrate Moyo’s victory.
Disgruntled Jonathan Moyo who seconded Nyathi told state media that he seconded Nyathi’s nomination after he spoke to Nkayi South MP Abedinico Bhebhe on the night before the swearing-in ceremony who told him that the party had nominated Nyathi for the post of Speaker.
“Bhebhe further informed me that their caucus had decided that Njabuliso Mguni would nominate Paul Themba Nyathi in Parliament and that they had asked Welshman Ncube to request me to second the nomination.’, said Moyo
“I went with this understanding to Parliament for the swearing-in ceremony the next day. While there and before the election of the Speaker, a rather nervous Njabuliso Mguni confirmed to me that he was going to nominate Nyathi and that he was expecting me to second his nomination as per the request of his party.
“I assured Mguni that I would second his nomination because I believed it was a good thing to do not just for the sake of democracy but also for the sake of stabilising our country and fostering an all inclusive process of national unity which are necessary for the much-needed economic turnaround.
“I started smelling a rat when Mguni gave a rambling and incoherent nomination of Nyathi which, because it clearly did not come from his heart or mind, was hopeless and pathetic,” said Moyo.
Moyo said after the counting of the votes in the Senate Chamber, Mguni who was supposed to be Nyathi’s agent sprung up to celebrate along with Kuwadzana Central MP Nelson Chamisa.
“As it became obvious that Lovemore Moyo’s pile of votes was larger than that of Paul Themba Nyathi, the MDC-T agents, started singing and dancing together and they locked their arms together, with Nelson Chamisa locking arms with Mguni in a musical celebration inside the Senate Chamber before the announcement of the official result.
“I was very shocked by the fact that the very same person who had moved Nyathi’s nomination, Mguni was quick to abandon his own party’s candidate even before the counting was over. Chamisa and Mguni became an item in the counting room and their spectacle was nauseating,” said Moyo.
“Moyo also decried that some Mps showed the completed ballot papers to Innocent Gonese and Thokozani Khupe before depositing the ballot papers in the ballot box,”said Moyo.
Mguni has since dismissed allegations that he celebrated Moyo’s victory together with Chamisa, “Chamisa is a colleague and I have every right to congratulate him. I don’t see anything wrong with hugging Chamisa. I am not ashamed because everything was very much in order.”

You lack values
Moyo, I read alot of books and articles you wrote when I was at University. I respacted you so much but now I have realised that you lack values. You are so much driven by the love of money to such an extent that you have abandoned the very values you used to preach. You are trying to go back to Zanu and you are acting as its angel criticising anything that goes aginst Zanu. Sorry Mr professor behaviour stinks. The Bible says, “the love of money is the root of all evil.” The people of Zimbabwe are suffering because of some of the laws you put, Let me give you advice, leave those evil ways and follows God’s ways before distruction comes on you. realty check——–these are the targeted sanctions: American express travel cheques can no longer be obtained from zimbabwe. If you are travelling to america you have to go to neighbouring countries to buy your travellers cheques. These are the targeted sanctions coming into force as of 01-09-18. The bank banks that have been issuiung them have confirmed this new directive coming from Bush and co. Ticha**** zvedi-these guys are determined to bring the country down in the 3 months they have set. No wonder Morgan is holding out for the collapsed economy. However a collapsed economy will bring about chaos ans lawlessness.It will be dog eat dog as people try to survive. I feel sorry for the person who will be running the country at the time.I can see a lot of chaos - i see the bad moon rising-i see trouble on the way.
The only way out of our predicament was dialogue which obviously has failed as the balance of power does not satisfy the west. They want morgan reloaded with all the presidential powers and mugabe reduced to morgan’s tea boy in parliament—-good luck.
The truth of the matter is that-no single party will make it alone. The country is divided as the march elections proved.No one got 50% of the vote to claim the powers to govern.Morgan pulled out of the run off.Now we are stuck. the only problem is people like Eddy cross keep advising morgan that the economy will collapse within 3 months or less and as such he does not want to sign the agreement. Mugabe has nothing to lose -he is 85 yrs old and the only losers are the sons and daughters of zimbabwe who still have much live for.This obsession with mugabe has taken the country to neverland.the real issue of course is the white people beaten up and removed from the farms they had stolen from us in the yeas before 1980. They are the reason the west want revenge. They dont give a toss about some negro like morgan or you if you are one. Its those whites you negros beat up in the year 2000.

Jonathan Moyo “Professor” you are an independent member of parliament fot Tsholotsho, not ZANU PF spokesperson. Those powers were stripped from you the last day you were fired from government. You further fired yourself from ZANU PF party the day you decided to contest Tsholotsho as an independent candidate.That being so, why do you complain on behalf of ZANU PF? Are you trying to come back to ZANU PF by making an issue with Mr. Mgunu? For peace sake Jonathan, that is wrong. Because you know pretty well the far reaching consequises that may take place to Mr Mgunu by agents and members of that party. That is a careless talk. We should be talking about what MDC is going to do for us once in power. Why waste time talking about Jonathan and Mutambara yet we have no government. We should be asking why Tsvangi is not agreeing to the talks and what he thinks is going to be the answer to all this mess. He is the one standing to loose if he maintains this intransigence. He must break the deadlock using his diplomacy which we all know now he does not have other than flip-flopping. He is not telling us anything about his plans, intentions or otherwise, just flip-flopping and promises. If he thought it was going to be easy then he better wake up - this is politics, especially when you are dealing with a moron like Mugabe. Tsvangi stands to loose the support of the people if he continues to flip-flop like this. If he does not pull something out very soon, then he will be history, we have waited too long and his promises are nothing but just like Zanu’s promises of fixing the economy.
