As the three Principals to the Power Sharing deal are highly expected to announce an agreement on outstanding issues this week, the MDC has reportedly drawn up a list of Diplomats selected from its structures,to be posted mostly in western countries. Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will announce that he is naming Grace Kwinjeh—former MDC Deputy Secretary for International Affairs—to be ambassador to Sweden,a key donor country.
Grace Kwinjeh
Kwinjeh, once served as the MDC Representative to the EU and after her tenure was appointed Deputy Secretary for International Affairs, She later helped establish the Zimbabwe Diaspora Forum, an organization to advance and promote the interests of Zimbabweans in the Diaspora.

The MDC will reportedly name an Ambassador to the United Kingdom and speculation is rife that its chief representative to Zimbabwe’s former coloniser Hebson Makuvise, will takeover from current ambassador.

Zimbabwe is in dire need of aid from Western donors, who have demanded broad economic and political reforms, including resolving outstanding issues to the power sharing deal.

The government, formed in February by ZANU PF’s President Robert Mugabe and Majority Party Leader Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, has appealed for billions of dollars from the West.

The MDC has since set next Monday as the deadline for the resolution of all outstanding issues, the outstanding issues that remained unresolved were the appointment of provincial governors, permanent secretaries, ambassadors, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Gideon Gono and the Attorney-General, Johannes Tomana.

  1. M MUGABE says:

It will be a fundamental mistake to appoint Hebson Makuvise as Ambassador because he is one of the most corrupt guys we have ever seen in MDC. He plundered subscription money for MDC UK members together with speaker of parliament Lovemore Moyo, Jonathan Chawora (Former Assistant Police Commissioner). In the next comments I will paste in the evidence of that money that was plundered

  6. John Moyo says:

How can Tsvangirai appoint such an uneducated , corrupt ignoramus such as Happison Makuvise to an ambassadorial post. This hippopotamus look-alike former primary school teacher , besides being the equivalent of Chikowore in MDC can’t even construct an english sentence does not have the gravitas to represent Zimbabwe.

Come on Tsvangirai , Zimbabwe has got talent – you can do better than this. This is nepotism gone crazy.

  7. Guseni says:

zanu idiots you are now complaining as if this article is from a Press Conference report by our leader M Tsvangirai, this is what we call speculation, your idiotic president hasn’t agreed to share power equitable.
I don’t know how mugabe felt in South Africa during the inauguration of President Zuma, this is the third democratically elected President since 1994 and mugabe is in power since 1980 amunyare here. He is now due to be called former president like Mandela and Kaunda. I wonder if he spoke to them at the inauguration. I was glad that Tsvangirai was invited, sending a clear message to mugabe that they don’t take him serious anymore. Tomorrow is D day for this GNU.

  8. RANZIROTI says:

it seems like John Moyo is a very bitter man.his use of words and spewing of such vernom on hearsay leaves a lot to be desired.if he is a member of the MDC and feels shortchanged and more competent than the so-called nominees, then he should use the right channels within his party to air his views and maybe contribute more constructively to better appointments.likening cde H.Makuvise to a hippo and insulting primary school teachers is a shallow way of advancing one’s argument.we all know the contribution primary school teachers do worldwide.maybe John did primary education through distance education and therefore didn’t have time to interact and appreciate primary school teaching and teacher’s alike.lets wait and see who will be appointed, like Gwafa has pointed out.icho! vaMoyo musaita dzungu.

  9. Bongani says:

I heard from some MDC guy based in Botswana, that this website was created by some MDC-T officials mainly to leak rumours and some information so sd to gauge the public mood.was this not the same website which reported days before that Roy Bennet will be deputy Agriculture minister.this story does not surprise me,it’s a strategic leak…

  10. Guseni says:

Bongani you are also speculating on this subject, I think in Zimbabwe we have been subjected to fear and people don’t enjoy in expressing their opinions in fear of being abducted by CIO’s or zanu idiots. We need such platforms to express our views since we cannot do them in public like its done in many democratic countries, wake up guys and smell the coffee.

    D DAY FOR GNU

She has suffered torture in the hands of the ruthless Mugabe regime and yet she has soldiered on, holding fast to a cause worth fighting for -a free Zimbabwe. She has her education and relevant exposure for the post. thumbs up Grace Kwinjeh, we are fully behind the Prime Minister’s appointment of this able woman, if it does come out so.

……..Zanu has destroyed John Nkomo a once respected gentleman, now he is a thug like zanu idiots, shame on him……..

A LAND row pitting Zanu PF national chairman John Nkomo and Matabeleland businessman Langton Masunda turned bloody last Saturday night when a man was shot and wounded, Masunda says by Nkomo’s hired assassins.

Masunda’s brother is recovering at Bulawayo’s Mater Dei hospital after suffering gunshot wounds following the attack at the Jijima Lodge in the Gwayi safari area just after 11PM.

Nkomo has been trying to prise the lodge from Masunda for the last five years, despite SIX court judgments going against him.

Brian Masunda, speaking for the family, said: “There were 14 guys lining up to kill my brother but they got the wrong one. Thank God he will be fine.”

The family is pointing an accusing finger at Nkomo, who is alleged to have hired 14 new farm labourers “paid US$250 before they started work” at his farm which lies some 14km from Masunda’s 611.79 hectare safari lodge.

Matabeleland North police said they were investigating the shooting, but a spokesman would not confirm the arrest of a man named Skonki, alleged by the family to be the shooter.

The Masunda family spokesman said Langton had just arrived at the lodge with his two brothers when gun shots were fired at his lookalike brother who had gone for a wee.

The brothers dragged their wounded sibling to the car and sped off.

“Along the way, they were being shot at. It appears this was a well-coordinated ambush and dovetails nicely with Nkomo’s mysterious new recruits that we understand were brought down from his security firm in Bulawayo.”

Brian Masunda said he saw the shooters as “victims too”. “Because of their poverty, they are being used to kill someone.”

Nkomo, a Minister of State in the President’s Office, was unavailable to comment on Monday.

He has been trying to seize control of the sprawling lodge which was allocated to Masunda during the land reform programme.

After getting former Lands Minister Didymus Mutasa to withdraw Masunda’s offer letter, Nkomo suffered a reversal at the High Court with four judges ruling against him.

  25. Guseni says:

Tsvangirai should never get soft on mugabe we are watching him, MDC is not like zanu where there is only one leader. We believe in democratic processes and if our highest body is not happy with him, he should ask Mbeki what democratic institutions do to leaders who don’t believe in a collective. I think Biti is right not to be scared by mugabe’s antics. Pamberi ne MDC, Phambili ngeMDC yethu.
