BULAWAYO – Zimbabwe’s oldest chief, Khayisa Ndiweni passed away Wednesday morning at his home in Ntabazinduna village.
The paramount chief “passed away peacefully” at 97-years of age just three days after celebrating his birthday.
A chief since 1939, the Ndebele chief was described as a “family man, who cared about and loved his family, his village and his church” and who took “good care of his obligations” not only to his family but the family of his wife and other relatives. Mourners are gathered at his Ntabazinduna homestead.
