Zimbabwean sultry songstress is no stranger to the music industry, since she has been performing since age five. She has carved a niche for herself in Zimbabwe as one of Zimbabweans top young performers in the diaspora. Her CD, “Happy” has been on the Top 10 list in Zimbabwe for some months.

cynthia, you are a beauty but looks like you lack the character to sustain your beauty.zvibate mwanawe.
mafirakureva…. how can you make a judgement about a person’s character by what you see on her musical video. this video and song is for entertainment. Asi unoda kuti aimbe akapfeka dhirezi aine zambiya nedhuku kani?
Empowering song and highly entertaining!
hmmm….how can u judge a person’s character based on a song. I like the song, it is empowering.

beautiful!
Girl You are pretty!
Can I have a piece of dat ?
Goodstuff! Keep it up. Ignore the numpties who think covering up is “Zimbabwean”
i thought what mafirakureva is saying is based not on cynthia’s song but on what he knows about her.maybe vanozivana.if its based on how she is dressed then maybe mafirakureva should know a few home truths about dressing and africanism.
i am writing about the dress code of zimbabweans as was before settler invasion then slightly after invasion and possibly up to the 1960’s.
the blacks of the area that becomes zimbabwe today whether ndebele or shona were scant dressers.they used to put on a piece of skin on the front and another covering magaro chete.chekufront would just cover pubic zone.depending on tribal grouping vamwe had what would also cover mazamu but ku zimbabwe zamu traditionally harinyadzisire as in the western culture.thats why vachitomwisa mwana zamu pachena without thinking twice about it.
maskin avaipfeka depended on the hunting partens of the area.those who could hunt and kill buffalo probably had more skin available than vaibata say katsvana.and of course anyone aibata hanga or hove would not have both meat and clothes.(thats how the proverb muchena haarovi chinenguwo originated) obviously for one to cover themselves like they do today paitoda kana nhoro three considering madzimai edu nekufuta kwavo.there was also a case where varume had kapipe kekungoviga chinhu.
then there came an era kwava nevarungu manje from the portuguese traders arab traders through to the british.jira (cloth was so scarce only a few could have it.even in the 1960’s there were people who dressed in migwada which is what you see if you took of a mupostori’s robe.underneath a real mupostori’s robe not vematrauzi but proper mupostanga you find mugwada.its just a clothy attempt at covering the essentials. saka regai vanasikana vaite zvavanoda
Pammy na Uzumba wat …musarasike …..Baba musarase hunhu mafira arikutoziva zvaarikutaura kwete zvauri kutaura ,Guys nyangwe varungu vakati coloniza ngatisarasa hunhu hwedu hwechivanhu ,hatisivarungu ,hatimbofa takanzi varungu…Also let us be genuine or let say natural ngatisareedzera ana Mariah Carey or the likes of Foxy Brown nekuti ivo havambofa vakakuteedzera …My advice to my sista is she must be herself ende hunhu is Vital and Important ngaasarase hunhu hwake ,ZIVA KWAWAKABVA HANZVADZI,Hausi murungu………………
That’s just rubbish! It’s rather odd kuti in your analogy you say we are not varungu yada yada yada and then go on to use Foxy Brown - mubhoyi akasviba kupfura iwe - and Mariah Carey - a mixed lady. Culture is dynamic. Hunhu is not covering up bits so that horny guys can keep their ****s down. Hunhu is being in a position to feel that yamira but zvaimisa zvacho hazvisi zvako and hauna mutendero wekumhanyira kunozvibata musina chirangano. There is nothing outstanding about what “hunhu” from Zimbabwe has achieved. We have the 2nd highest HIV rate in the world so either “hunhu” is failing us completely - which I daresay it is - or people are still bent on trying to improve other peoples’ morals when their own are questionable. Being colonised is in the mind. Inga maingopfeka wani mabaggy jeans. Matie vanongosunga wani kuZim despite them being a ridiculous appendage. Bhutsu munongopfeka wani. You adopt what is good about other cultures and discard the rubbish in your own…that is dynamism. We should educate our folks kuzvipfurira kana zvinhu zvisingawirirane navo kwete kungoda kubata bata in the name of reforming morals!!!
