Job Description
To lead a participatory process to tailor the Southern Africa Food And Nutrition Security (SAFANS) programme to the Country (Zimbabwe) and specific Area Development Programme (ADP) contexts, and develop LEAP-aligned project and program provisional design documents, in order to meet the key objectives of the programme in a manner appropriate and feasible.
- The incumbent must have a Bachelor?s degree in Health or Nutrition/ Social sciences or related field but preferably a Masters degree.
- Four years experience in rural development work as a programme manager.
- Experience in operational research and good analytical problem solving skills, excellent command of the English language both written and spoken, knowledge of financial management system, must be computer literate in Microsoft word, Excel, and must be able to communicate in a cross-cultural environment.
- Proven ability to build effective networks and “communities of practice”.
- Willingness to be periodically based in the field; sometimes working under difficult conditions as well as having the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Self motivated with professional attitude and manner.
