Heads are set to roll at the troubled Zimbabwe’s sole broadcaster following a major technical glicth by ZBH technicians during the Sanganai/ Hlanganani musical show in Bulawayo last Saturday.
The all night show attracted international acts such as Ringo, Awilo Langoma and local artists lead by dance queen Sandra Ndebele and Tonga Moyo.
Initially it was set to be beamed live on ZBC TV but that never materialized. So there was to be a delayed transmition . However, come Sunday when the tape was due for editing, all tapes used were blank. Sources at Montrose Studios in Bulawayo say no one has a clue as to what happened that night.
“ Its strange. The camera’s where rolling on and we never suspected any thing amiss. But when we went for editing the tapes where blank” said a source there on Tuesday.
The final tape was meant to be handed over to Zimbabwe Tourism Authority on Tuesday morning. Frantic efforts to get hold of recording from individuals hit brick hall.
“ We tried to get the recording from two people but they demanded huge amounts. Heads are set to roll here” He said they suspected foul play.
High ranking ZBH officials including Tazan Mandizwindwa where at the show Though the show was free of change it was poorly attended as it was only announced during 8 o’clock news that it was free. Close to 300 people attended.

I just wonder how these papers will cope in the near future when there’s a free-for-all in Zimbabwe. When major news channels are allowed back in Zimbabwe, I won’t be visiting these.
