The outgoing politburo met yesterday for the last time after its first meeting of the year last week. The Supreme Court yesterday said all diamonds extracted from African Consolidated Resources’ claims should not be surrendered to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe for safekeeping. Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku said this while clarifying the meaning of an order he issued on January 25 this year. ACR had interpreted the Supreme Court order to mean all diamonds mined from their claims belonged to them.
