monomotapa Football Club has suspended four players for allegedly inciting other members of the team to boycott training in a dispute over compensation, management said Thursday.

The players are Daniel Zokoto, Ntulisi Maphosa, Godfrey Mangove and Luckmore Zimanga.

The team owes players bonuses related to its participation in the Confederation of African Football’s Champions League competition this year.

Monomotapa Club Secretary David Makombe told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA’s Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that players were likely to receive their overdue payments on Friday following intervention by the country’s Premier Soccer League.
