moyoZIMBABWE – HARARE – Professor Jonathan Moyo has bought the latest Land Cruiser and is also renovating a leafy mansion in Borrowdale which he recently bought.

Moyo is rolling in the latest luxury V8 Land Cruiser, white in colour, that has raised eyebrows in the city. He has another silver Prado.
We understand Moyo has bought a seven-bedroomed mansion behind Colossal Close in Borrowdale which he is renovating.

The source of this cash has been revealed to be the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon Gono. The embattled Gono is also building a 40-bedroomed mansion in Harare.

It has also established that there is no farming taking place at the Tsholotsho legislator’s Mazoe farm.

Moyo has played an instrumental role in fighting Gono’s war and is part of a powerful clique of a Zanu-PF faction headed by the powerful Defence minister Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Gono on advice from Moyo invested heavily in the now defunct free Zimbabwean weekly run by a Cardiff-Birmingham based online news site with links to the Zanu-PF faction.

Moyo is doing “political consultancy” for Gono amid reports his retainer was recently slashed as Gono’s source of funding dried up. He is reported to be on a US$20,000 retainer although The Zimbabwe Tribune could not independently verify this information.

Moyo belongs to a powerful Zanu-PF faction that includes Ngwena as the kingpin, Gono, Attorney General Johannes Tomana, Justice and Legal Affairs minister Patrick Chinamasa.

Moyo’s new found alliance with the Zanu-PF faction unmasks him as a staunch Zanu-PF supporter and also reveals his beef with the Prime Minister. He has been a vociferous critic of the PM.

The MDC is furious about Moyo’s links with Gono, which the party is determined to get fired.

Moyo, the only independent legislator in Zimbabwe’s 7th Parliament, secured his legislative seat after a deal had been struck with the MDC not to field a candidate in his constituency.

A senior MDC official said Moyo’s honeymoon with Zanu-PF would soon be over as the MDC was going to field a candidate in Tsholotsho which could end the professor’s political career.

I still get surprised by people who call Jonathan Moyo “professor”. Look Jonathan Moyo was and is not a professor. Jonathan Moyo holds a masters in Public Administration degree from University of California, worked at UZ as a lecturer for 5 years and never got promoted to professorship, left and worked for the Ford Foundation in Kenya , stole money, left for Wits to work for an NGO research fund and again stole money. Jonathan Moyo is Mr Jonathan Moyo. He does not have a Ph.D and does not have any research papers to claim any title of Professor. He is a fake thats why his life depends on stealing and licking the back of JOC. So from now on the media should stop abusing the term professor to Jonathan Moyo. He should be called fraudster Mr.Jonathan Moyo because thats what he is. He lied that he is a professor so that Mugabe would think that he is wise. Thats why he was quick to coin such terms as “rocket scientist” so that people would think that he is learned. What rocket science does a Masters in Public Adminstration student learn? Shame.

Jonathan Moyo is a chamelion.Don’t ever trust him.He is the most selfish person I have ever come across. As long as he is comfortable in his prados ,land cruisers and mansions he does not give a damn to the cries of oppessed Zimbos.Very soon some of the MDC guys will be singing Moyo’s songs. They have been bewitched by ZANU (PF) and its chief priest Robert Mugabe. This is a satanic party. Be warned!
