Malajila rediscovered his scoring touch to fire a brace that ensured that Harare giants Dynamos maintained their grip on pole position on the Premiership log standings.
In a lively derby clash that attracted a good crowd on a sunny afternoon at Rufaro despite the home team, Dynamos increasing entry fees for the rest of the ground and the Upper West grandstands, fans still turned up in their numbers for the game.
It was Malajila who hogged the limelight with his brace, struck either side of half-time, which helped DeMbare reclaim top position, which they had surrendred overnight to Gunners, who beat Bantu Rovers 2-0 at Gwanzura on Saturday.
It has been a tale of Gunners being 24-hour leaders on the log standings in the last two weeks in which Moses Chunga’s men have won their games on Saturdays only for DeMbare to reclaim top spot the following day.
In scoring his double, Malajila also justified why the Dynamos management had to run around on Friday to ensure they paid part of their outstanding loan dues to Chapungu to have a decision to withdraw the player rescinded.
On the other hand it was a dissapointing weekend for Highlanders followers as Bosso continued to keep on losing points following their 2 all draw with a low level Highway Football club.Even though they ended their losing sequence the results were not enough for Bosso fans to take home considering their current position in the log.
Highlanders goals came from Nqobile Mpala and Stephen Alumenda but were however cancelled by Manuel Silinda in the 84th minute and Stephen Sibanda two minutes before the end of the game.
