President Robert Mugabe has made a u-turn on some agreed outstanding issues since the formation the country’s government of national unity.
Mugabe’s spokesman George Charamba has since told state media that the principals did not agree on how to allocate governors and said even if they agree the governors will not be sworn in until the end of the year.
Charamba, said President Mugabe ‘s Zanu-PF party’s Politburo has the final say before any agreed formula on the appointment of the provincial governors is effected.
“On provincial governors and resident ministers, the principals agreed to push their appointment to August. Governors who were appointed last year signed contracts that run for two years and terminating the contracts prematurely would call for their compensation.”
Charamba claimed that the principals have not agreed on any formula to apportion the posts and said ZANU PF wants a formula which is based on Senatorial and House of Assembly votes, under this formula ZANU PF would get six posts and MDC-T four.
Charamba’s comments pour cold water on Prime Minister Tsvangirai ‘s remarks at a Press conference last week that a formula has already been agreed on and that the Provincial Governors will be sworn in at the soonest opportunity.

This is the Mugabe we all know. Its just a matter of time, the junta is slowly loosing grip from autonomous power

Why am I being asked to read definition of premature ejaculation Mr Moderator, apologies if I have offended you.
I just wanted to stress that the MDC has a habit of making announcements before they are ready so it tends to make them look foolish whereas jojo’s party just takes action.
