ZIMBABWE’S three main political parties, ZANU PF and the two MDC formations, have reached agreement on the text of Constitutional Amendment Number 19 Bill and are expected to initiate soon the relevant parliamentary procedures for it to become law.

Officials from Zanu-PF, the Arthur Mutambara-led MDC and MDC-T spokesperson Mr Nelson Chamisa confirmed that an agreement had been reached.

In South Africa,Government lawyers have appealed against the dismissal of corruption charges against African National Congress leader Jacob Zuma.

The charges were rejected on a technicality in September, sparking a political row, which led to President Thabo Mbeki leaving office.

INTERNATIONAL R&B singer Kelly Rowland will visit South Africa for the second time this year — to
visit Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls in Henley-on-Klip, south of Johannesburg.

Rowland will address the pupils as part of the school’s HIV-Aids workshop, a subject that is close to her heart. She will also show an HIV-Aids awareness documentary she produced using young people from Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa and New York.

Zimbabwean Munyaradzi Chidzonga contestant who had sex in the African Big Brother reality show has missed out on the top prize after coming third in this year’s show which ended on Sunday.

Munyaradzi Chidzonga, known to the show’s fans simply as Munya, romped into bed with Botswana’s Tawanda – sparking an outcry from the show’s conservative watchers.

Angolan Ricco Venancio, 21, won M-Net’s Big Brother Africa 3 after 91 days in House, narrowly beating Malawi’s Hazel for the US$100 000 prize.
