The MDC national executive and the national council, the party’s supreme decision making bodies, will meet this week to deliberate on the outcome of the extra-ordinary SADC summit meeting held in Sandton, South Africa, yesterday.
The 44-member national executive and the 128-member national council will meet on Friday, 14 November 2008, to deliberate on the SADC summit and the future of the dialogue process.
The two supreme bodies will deal with the resolutions of the SADC summit, the systematic plot and concoctions of banditry against the MDC and the massive starvation and the general decline of the economic plight of the people of Zimbabwe.
It is regrettable that the dialogue process remains unresolved. We believe that we have a compelling case in that a genuine power-sharing arrangement should be based on equity and not power grabbing. We believe that a real and genuine inclusive government should enable us to effect change in the lives of the people of Zimbabwe and not simply to legitimize a predominantly Zanu PF government which was rejected by the people on 29 March.
The people want genuine change in their lives. They want food and jobs. They want drugs, nurses and doctors back in our hospitals. They want teachers back in our schools. They want fuel in the country. They want clean water and electricity back in our homes. We reiterate our position that the MDC will not be able to bring back these basic things if it is given responsibility without authority.
We believe that there are fundamental issues that remain outstanding such as the allocation of portfolio ministries, the brazen alteration of the Global Political Agreement by Zanu PF, the issue of provincial governors, the composition and powers of the National Security Council, the appointment of senior government officials, permanent secretaries and ambassadors and the enactment of Constitutional Amendment Number 19.
Apart from these outstanding issues is Zanu PF’s deliberate and systematic plot to incriminate the MDC on fictitious charges of banditry and terrorism. We remain committed to peaceful and democratic change. There is no reason for the MDC to engage in such barbaric acts when we are the ruling party with majority seats in Parliament. We control the largest number of urban and rural councils. We won the Presidential election on 29 March through the ballot and any attempts to link us with the gun and the bullet will not wash with the people of Zimbabwe.
It will not wash with our brothers and sisters in Africa and it will not wash with the broader international community.
The MDC had remained committed to dialogue as the only option to unlock the Zimbabwean crisis. We are aware that Zanu PF has stubbornly stood in the doorway of all efforts to find a solution to the national crisis, oblivious of the massive starvation in the country which needs urgent relief.
We in the MDC derive strength and fortitude in the knowledge that the people of Zimbabwe are the owners of the cause.
Editor’s note:Nelson Chamisa is the MDC Secretary for Information and Publicity and Member of Parliament for Kuwadzana Central,he is also the party’s former National Youth Chairman.

You idiot CIO, a Mugabe boot licker. Your days are numbered. Why do you bother to deal with Morgan if you say he is uneducated. Why does this old 84+ year old want in our country. You n/a, a CIO operative feeding on the bones of starving people, have no right to visit websites and defending the undefendable. These are the last days of Pablo escobar, the Columbian drug Lord, for Mugabe is just Pablo Escobar, while the few remaining bootlickers like you are his footsoldiers.
Mengistu left Ethopia when people were starving. He came to Zimbabwe and spread the vampire virus to Robert Matibili who in turn also spread it to Mbeki. Now these vampires are salivating as Zimbabweans start to starve and die of hunger. God is watching. At least their children are outside the country. We shall feast on the too. Chitongai tione. Leave Morgan alone. He has been an opposition leader for 10 years. Why should he hurry to be forced to feed on blood by blodthursty vampires like Mugabe, Munangagwa, Chiwenga, Shiri, Chihuri (e?) and Zim(h?)ondi

People who think that the MDC are being stupid or awkward to insist on an equitable division of authority and responsibility are obviously either very politically naive or else simply not to be trusted. The solution they proffer is the only peaceful solution possible. Many months ago I felt that the only answer to Zimbabwe’s problems were for Mugabe to go peacefully after an election, die of natural causes, or be removed violently. It seems, sadly, that the last alternative is the one that is becoming increasingly more likely, as frustration and starvation mount.

SOUTH AFRICA — Just like blaming it on the rain, the MDC leadership must be blamed for the endless Zimbabwe crisis because it does not know where, when and how to apply appropriate action to resolve it.
The MDC leadership should be forced to take a fair share of the blame for the suffering of the people of Zimbabwe.
I have to be very very sincere and precise here. The MDC leadership is one of the luckiest political group in the world.
Ten years after the MDC formation it still enjoys massive loyal support from the suffering Zimbabweans for absolutely doing nothing to bring the promised change let alone to to stop those who (Zanu PF) make them suffer, from governing.
There is no point to talk of missed opportunities in this article, but it is more than prudent to state that Zimbabweans are where they are because of the inherent weakness of the MDC leadership.
The decision of ZEC to withhold the March election results for 5 weeks, the June run – off fiasco, the deadlock over the initial agreement, the signing of a doctored agreement and the current deadlock over cabinet posts all point to a weak and pathetic MDC leadership.
Yes the MDC leadership had for years looked good in the public eyes just because of Mugabe’s open brutality and the help of both independent and international media organizations.
As the deadlock continues and chances increase that it will be pushed further up the agenda of multilateral inter-state organizations like the AU and UN Security Council, the more clearer it shall become that the MDC leadership is not capable on its own to handle the domestic affairs of Zimbabwe.
In fact all this possible scenario shall help Zanu PF to prove its mantle by outwitting the lethagic MDC leadership as there is no way the AU would act at variance with SADC diplomacy.
The MDC leadership simply thinks that international diplomacy or community or the UN System starts and ends with the West.
By now noone doubts that the MDC is the only legitimate winner of the last credible elections in Zimbabwe, but many now doubt its leadership’s ability to take over from Zanu PF and govern effectively so as bring the elusive glory of yesteryear.
Beside banking on third parties for economic recovery, the MDC leadership is proving to all and sandry that they neither do have any strategy of their own on how to wrestle power from Zanu PF diehards in the military and nor a native economic recovery plan.
By continuously cheating itself into believing the possibility of coming into power peacefully and democatically, the MDC leadership shall soon discover that “they wish they knew”.
In order to gain an ounce of respect from Mugabe’s junta, a military solution is the only answer to the circumstances the MDC leadership find itself today.
The simple fact that Mugabe believes that a winning party like MDC can be not fit to run on its own a single ministry of home affairs, then what does it entail for the whole government.
The MDC leadership is so politically blind not to see how Mugabe holds them in deep contempt and would insist on what they want us to believe is genuine power sharing.
When the so called Global Political Agreement was formally signed on 15/09 the contrasting understanding of what the deal means to both Zanu PF and MDC was evident.
Mugabe who understood what he wanted out of the deal presented an incoheent speech totally meant to woodwink everyone whilst on the other hand the MDC leader Tsvangirai was very bouyant and optimistic about nothing because of lack of forsight.
This in itself is a clear indication of the MDC leadership failure of the first degree since one can not demand to play an even much b**** role when he/she is being denied a smaller one.
How the MDC leader foresees some progressive SADC countries (which ones?) being able to resolve the deadlock boggles the mind.
The MDC leadership has been disputing both Zanu PF and SADC position about the issue of home affairs as the remaining thorny issue thus insisting on about 5 outstanding items.
The emmergency summit came and is gone none of such issues were attended to, reflecting a big failure on the part of the MDC leadership to push its main concerns on the regional agenda. “Ko kwaiva kufarira n’anga inobata mai here?
The MDC leadership must simply comeout clear on its next strategy or ship out instead of misusing and misleading Zimbabweans every day, who have already suffered enough because of its failure to take advantage of countless opportunities and to take care of some of the threats.
The conclusion we may be forced to make is that the MDC leadership is neither prepared to govern on its own nor can be taken seriously on anything anymore.
It continues to fail to demonstrate higher understanding and maturity in view of the kind of adversary it is dealing with. In fact the MDC leadership appears to be deep rooted in political algebra where after placing A first then B follows.
It is not long before Zimbabweans discover that the current MDC leadership was not the appropriate to take them out of Egypt.
And its not long before the current MDC rues itself for missed opportunities and for failing to make hay when the sun shined.
Zimbabweans have been very kind and patient with the MDC leadership. On Friday the leadership intends to hold its national executive and council meetings to make decisions and pass resolutions on SADC decision.
We definitely expect to hear the same vague and weak strategies and decisions that do not take us anyware if not flip flopping. We expect to see resolutions such as:
“”Being a people’s party and being concerned with the suffering of the people of Zimbabwe, the national council resolves to mandate the leadership to continue with the dialogue, but not accept the co-management of the Home Affairs ministry.” Then so what?
The MDC leadership must wake up because it is already 12 o’ clock midday, Zanu PF have all along sent the simple and clear message that they shall never allow our party to have a say not to mention a final say on what direction Zimbabwe shall take. Ponto final.
So why wasting your and people’s time with this dialogue. If the MDC leadership continues doing this “maumbwe” then we shall sooner rather later acuse them of enjoying themselves whilst playing games with people of Zimbabwe’s suffering.
We know of some African opposition party leaderships who earn a living behind people’s backs where ruling parties pay them huge sums of money in order to continue mislead the masses.
We do not want the MDC to be such type of an opposition party, but one day this same MDC leadership shall lamment why it failed to go military and resolved the aspect of mutual respect with the Zanu PF junta.
Ndinonzi mafira kureva. We should start blaming the MDC leadership for part if not all of the nation’s failure.

ZANU(PF) lost the March elections, changed figures with Mbeki’s blessings, ordered a re-run, murdered and raped people to make sure the re-run is not a success, went ahead to contact a shame one madman election and now what fools like Goerge Chirikure want to divert attention from these things by talking nonnsense. Why should you few remaining ZANU(PF) maggots worry about a government of national unity. Why should Mugabe and all his bootlickers not form a government and leave MDC alone. Remember the people voted for MDC and they like them as is. Whether Mugabe’s wives like n/a like it or not Mugabe is connered. Lets see his bravery by forming the next cabinet. Wait and see how he will have a bullet in his stomach. You see, people who marry prostitutes have everything in common, they are insane. Mugabe is HIV positive which he got from Grace who got it from several infected man including a former Finance Minister whom she used to take to Cape Town for sex, and then Makamba and then almsot everyone ****ed her. Chiwenga married a whore. Gono’s second wife who infected him with HIV got it from Chombo thats why they dont see eye to eye. Chihuri hatitauri. Kuzoti George Charamba shame. What about Chinamasa? They are all smelling if you go near them. So if they loose elections they want to kill so that everyone is dead like them. They are moving ghosts. So leave Morgan alone and continue eating ARV’s muchichemana. Death is around the corner and all these people who were killed will hound you very soon. Mugabe cant even stay in State House accusing spooks. Shame. He does not know that AIDS affects the brain?

The only decision the MDC must take on Friday is to quit the whole sham of a deal just as almost all supporters have been saying from the outset. We must now decide on other options and not be afraid of using violence because either way we are dying. Hapana kusiri kufa. The time has come for us to stand up to this dictatorship and refuse to be bullied again. If it means taking up arms then let it be! We are ready to take up arms and liberate ourselves. The SADC are accessories to our suffering and history will judge each and everyone of them.

Mr Chamisa, your opinion is good but also note that this is the main weakness that is being exploitated by Zanu. At this point you should not hesistate to explore on millitary intervention or influencing mass revolt. Surely, we need to overthrow Mugabe’s ideology in our country. Where are people of Zimbabwe?. Did we surely defeated Smith regime, if we did, why then do we get shackled by our own blood.
We must have a covent as Zimbabweans to start our country on a new slide this new. Never mind about Sadc leaders, Its our own life.Mugabe must be defeated.
We must form a government in Exile. Tsvangirai must come out Zimbabwe now otherwise they will catch him and use him as ramsom to force people of zimbabwe. Industrialist must be talked to, we need there help, just shut down factories.Lets talk junior army personel, coordinate diffusion of information to there families who are able to channel this to them.
I see a blood shed if Mugabe forms a government alone. I see a very shot period of fighting , because the situation will be made smooth with the division in the army.

The insistance by MDC to remain peaceful and democratic whilist it is sacrificing its supporters to ZANU brutality defies logic. Up to what extend should we tolerate such unabated arrogance being presented by our self styled leaders? Our struggle has sustained 10 full years yet we still encounter the same arrogance from RG. I believe its time for us to unveil our true nature i strongly believe we are never cowards. The answer lies in open confrontation with the police and army. Lets form no go areas for these men of murderous intentions at pubs in locations. Lets unhilerate them resounding and set ourselves at liberty.
Lets be on the move ladies and progressive gentlemen to take note of our oppressors” aides. Africa has failed itself severally its now up to wallow in poverty or to swallow our pride and respond to the situation as it deserves. For how long shall one of our own suffer humiliation in state sponsored zenophobic attackes in racist SOUTH AFRICA. Our own police should suffer heavily in our hands time is over ripe to act. The moment has actually come for a new span to lead the country but neither of the 2 MDCs can do it because they have failed time and again to take advantage of the current economic situation, the weaknesses shown by mugabe, the disgruntlement of the general populace, the colapsing of the law and order and the general chaos in the country which makes it easy to mobilise people into action and seize power.
The country is now ripe for an uprise if you look at how many people will be in the harare Central business area during the day, it only requires one to stand near Karigamombe centre and call for an uprise, tell the people to go to munhumutapa building and demand their country back, their lives back, their dignity back, their money from the central bank, demand food , medicines, education for their children demand their freedom from mugabe and the junta.
Its time to stop this cry baby approach whereby people say mugabe does not want release/share power (ehe haadi saka toitora tega) and we should go on and take the power from zanu pf. I am cork sure that even the army , police and the prison service personnel will join in this uprising because they are also suffering with the general zimbabwean population.
Its time we stop thinkiong the international world will come and give us solutions to our problems because they wont. they will only come in when we show our mantle, when we show we mean business when we say mugabe should and should go yesterday.
ZIMBABWE OUR DESTINY IS IN OUR OWN HANDS AND WE SHOULD TAKE IT TODAY

Hope the brave and tenacious MDC decide to abandon all negotiations with Mugabe.
My suggestions:
1. Lobby the UN and international community to impose sanctions and stop all Aid to African countries that support Mugabe (South Africa, Mocambique, Namibia, Angola, Malawi etc etc)
2. Lobby the international community to evict all diplomatic missions from these countries
3. Mobilise your grassroots supporters to organise snap crowd protests using sms/mxit. Should be easy to use existing throngs of people queuing for money or bread.
4. Sit back and Wait! ….. any government that Mugabe attempts to form without Morgan will fail in a few short weeks due to lack of funds.
5. Hold regular, nationwide rallies celebrating Mugabe’s imminent Death. (repetition of his anticipated funeral will put the fear of God into the demon … Mugabe’s greatest fear is Death … I wonder why?
VIVA MORGAN!

All your prescriptions on what to do may not be feasible. You say War, it will not succeed unless all the MDC leadership are prepared to be part of the war in the bush, otherwise they will simply be arrested and charged with treason. In any case which country would support the war when they are all dictators or potential dictators? Rallies calling for mass uprising? are u forgetting the police and militia will simply stop this. UN? its record is there for all to see.It has done nothing about dictators that abound most of africa, South America and Asia. In my view there is only one way when zanuPF will seize to exit, that is when Mugabe dies. Everything revolves around him and he is the glue that keeps it together. When he dies which i believe is not far ZanuPF will split ethnically. Dont look to SA’ ANC, it has already split btwn Xhosa and Zulu. The other scenario is Zimbabwe will keep on gravitating towards the stone age. Which ever way you look at Zim is still deep in problems for a long time to come.

ay, i’m not an intellectual person so i’m just gonna give it to y’all straight. i’m deeply pissed at what’s going on, lyk how do we react to doctors and nurses being beaten up for defending our right to what we most desperately lack, which is health service delivery? pple just say “oh? i knew that would happen”, as if it’s just a matter of knowing we don’t have rights- neither can we protest if they’re violated!?
and why should i sleep out in the cold streets hoping to get the first place in a bank queue for the money that i worked so hard for. and it’s a fact that i had to hustle for transport money to get to work in the first place doing some underhand deals and just taking advantage of a free phone at work, all because i couldnt get transport money through the bank-
but c’mon you know i want what’s only entitled to me. i might not care anymore to check whether my salary’s getting into the bank but it’s mine hey? guys if we make a fierce effort and hit the streets in our numbers God forbid the world would turn a blind eye if we get murdered by those freak riot police in front of news reporters- something’s waiting to snap and i’m ready to participate, i was there when the NCA saga unwrapped and i’m not violent but i’m frustrated enought to beat the living **** out of any one who beats an elderly woman to keep Bob in power. If i should kill for freedom then bring it on!!!!!!!!!
