The team was scheduled to fly out of the country on Friday morning but failed to pay for their air tickets leading to the cancellation of the bookings.

Henrietta Rushwaya, the ZIFA chief executive officer was on Friday afternoon still locked in meetings with the Ministry of Finance officials.

Zimbabwe Warriors are scheduled to play Swaziland in the Orange Nations Championships at Somhlo Stadium in Mbabane.

There are chances that Zimbabwe could be thrown out of the 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers as part of the punishment package that will come from the Confederation of African Football in the event the Warriors fail to fulfil the tie against Swaziland.

The cash strapped ZIFA have been relying on government support for all national team commitments.
