Bulawayo, September 23 2009 – The chairman of the Organ on National Healing and Reconciliation John Nkomo on Tuesday threatened and barred journalists from a meeting he was having with chiefs, accusing them of lying through the stories they write on internet.
Nkomo chased the journalists who had come to cover the meeting he was having together with his colleagues, Sekai Holland and Gibson Sibanda, in Matabeleland North Province in Bulawayo.
Nkomo, who is also Zanu PF chairman, is currently facing sodomy charges.
“We read reports of chiefs demanding Mercedes Benz vehicles in the Midlands, an issue which was never raised at the Gweru meeting. We no longer trust journalists you lie in the internet…we can use some instruments to deal with you. Go out…” said Nkomo.
The meeting was called to explore ways in which chiefs can contribute to the national healing process.
The national healing organ was set up to spearhead healing in Zimbabwe following the set up of an inclusive government. Zimbabwe suffered political violence last year in the run up to the harmonised 2008 elections, resulting in people, mostly from the opposition parties killed, tortured and displaced.

zwana john makhelwani wami that is well done .some of us are far from home we dont want to plan based on lies so tell them.wy should journalists lie.sometime back on this very siite befoe change of management i exchanged chats with an editor who was claiming that mugabe was dead and he said he was 100 % reliably informed.i refused to buy his story and well as everyone knows its now 5 years and mgodoy is still live and hitting it.
Dear Lucas or is it Changunashe?. This site has NEVER claimed that president Mugabe was dead. I accept a lot of comments that are sparing of the truth, but on this occasion I ask that you restrict your claims to at least a semblance of fact. !!! (Editor)

zanu has confused this gentleman called J Nkomo and now he is gay, shame I wonder what his boss is saying. J Nkomo should go back to Zapu, he can reform and be a proper man there. zanu is no good for anyone, Nyongolo must be turning in his grave.
